Dr Aili Nidsjo
Dr Aili Nidsjö is a Forensic Psychologist and clinical supervisor with a background in working with adolescents and adults with mental health and neuro-developmental needs across various settings, such as residential and inpatient mental health care, children’s social services, and criminal justice services.
She has 10 years of experience supporting young people with emotional distress and challenging behaviour, considering both internal and external factors that may affect these difficulties. A large portion of her work focuses on systems change, by providing support and guidance to the professionals and family members closest to the child. She regularly provides psychological assessments to courts, in order to inform criminal justice outcomes and care-planning for young people with complex needs.
Aili is currently a Clinical Service Manager in Southwark Youth Justice and Adolescent Safeguarding Services, guiding the use of systemic and psychological theory to inform service delivery. This includes training, consultation, supervision of clinical staff, as well as working directly with young people and families.
