Experiencing the pain that drives self harm and suicidal thoughts and behaviour, is extremely distressing for the people we serve, and can feel extremely distressing and worrying for professionals supporting the person.
But with the right support and understanding, these experiences can also be a prompt to both a deeper mutual
understanding between person and their supporter, and a starting place for healing and hope.
This training will help professionals:
- Understand why people may feel driven to self harm and suicide
- Risk assess and manage a suicide and self harm risk
- Respond effectively to people facing these difficulties
- Reflect on pathways to remembrance and healing after losing someone to suicide

Please note that the training is focused predominantly on work with 18+ although the approaches will also be relevant for work with younger people.
The purpose of group training is to deliver training to your workplace group on a date, and in a format, which suits you.
Training can be delivered either live online or in your workplace.
